Rayan Semery-Palumbo is a political economist and policy advocate focused on work, technology, and democracy. He grew up in poverty in Arizona, experienced homelessness as a child, and went on to Yale, Oxford, and the Rhodes Scholarship.
He leads strategy and narrative for the Living Wage For All coalition and is a Fellow at the Economic Security Project, where he works on worker-centered approaches to AI and automation. He holds a PhD in Public Policy & Economics. He is a contributing author to What Has Democracy Done For Me Lately? (The New Press, 2026).
